Fresno

We started our trip in the early afternoon. We made it to Fresno and walked around the temple there. I loved how peaceful it was. We had to take pictures on the "wedding platform" and sing "I love to see the temple."

Afterward we had dinner at Chevys ...

Then we headed to Renato's home for a sleepover. Sarah was ECSTATIC to sleep at Rhino's house. It's so fun that he's joining our family :)

First Day of Nusery

Today marks another great milestone in William's life. Rog and I dropped off Sarah and then William to their respective nursery classes and enjoyed delightful lessons in Sunday School and Priesthood/Relief Society. Ahhh. Can we say Bliss?

William walked right in, found a car and started pushing it around the floor. He didn't look back. When I came back for singing time - I'm the song leader - William was sitting at the table finishing his snack. He joined the group and waved the visual aids around as we sang. (Side: We have cool hearts and stars on sticks that some super diligent nursery song leader made a while back.) He mostly looked around and watched, but still very happy.

When I came back to pick him up he was all smiles as his nursery leader Cedric blew bubbles. William had such a fun time and the nursery leaders said he was sooooooo good. Such a happy, chill child. They'd even go as far to say he was their favorite except they had their own kid in the class ... I'm thrilled he had a great time. And the best part? William was soooooo good for Sacrament Meeting.

Nursery - The best Mom's Day present in the world!

And just to compare ... Here's Sarah's first day experience.

Helping Hands

This morning we got to help in Golden Gate Park for Mormon Helping Hands Day. It was soooo fun! While Rog and I weeded and helped to build a path by the rose garden, Sarah and Will played on the playground.

Don't you love our awesome hats? Sarah and I had matching hats AND braids. Super, super cool :)

Sarah and her friend Grace sporting some magical face paint. Sarah has a mermaid if you couldn't tell from the smear in the middle.

It was a fun day had by all. Just ask the munchkins ...

The Great Outdoors

With Rog securing a job (Kaiser) a couple of weeks ago, we've been having a lot of stress-free family time. This week we went to Golden Gate Park and Rodeo Beach. I love spending time with my family outside!

Lesson Time

I went walking tonight with a couple of my girlfriends. When I got back Roger related this to me ...

Sarah enters singing the chorus of "Follow the Prophet"
Roger (at the computer)
Sarah: Daddy, you give me a lesson?
Roger (a little confused stares blankly) What? What are you saying?
Sarah: You give me a lesson?
Roger: Yeah I can give you a lesson.
Sarah: Mommy give me a lesson?
Roger: No, Daddy can give you a lesson.
Roger proceeds to pick up the gospel art book, flips through it until he finds a picture of the prophet Moroni and proceeds to give a lesson about Moroni and his treasure: the yellow book. They sing "Follow the Prophet" approximately 10 times. (Roger is in heaven.)

Isn't parenthood great?
