William is 15 Months!

If I thought Sarah grew up fast, I feel like William is going double speed. William is such a little boy. This past month has been a little rough. William went from having 4 teeth to having 8 teeth. Poor little guy.

I have to say my favorite development this month is peek-a-boo. I love that he now is covering his own eyes with his hands, uncovering them and then saying bud-a-ba. Love Love Love it. Can't get enough of it!

William loves to jabber. I really think Sarah understands him. It's nice to know someone is speaking his language. Will's favorite word besides bud-a-ba is dada. We're still working on mama. He can be pretty quiet at times, but if the room is quiet - say during church when the sacrament is being passed - he speaks right up and starts telling stories. He's just waiting his turn :)

William is now quite confident walking er I mean running. He LOVES running after Sarah. The other day Sarah "ran away" from him in the apartment so he ran after her. They were chasing each other for a good 10 minutes just laughing. So adorable.

One thing I have noticed between my two toddlers at this age. When Sarah was quite for any length of time I knew she was getting into trouble. Not so for William. He is quite content to play quietly, "read" books, and look out the window. I'm sure he'll be getting into stuff someday soon, but for now I'll enjoy his quiet play.

Just for kicks, I thought I would post some comparison pics of Sarah and William. They really are the same mold.

We go next week to Will's dr. appointment to find out his stats. Stay tuned.

James & Katie

Sarah, Will and I ventured out to the East Bay to visit James, Katie, Anne and Marisa. I did get a glimpse of sweet baby Anne, but she slept most of the time we were there. James had the day off from school and he and Katie were perfect hosts. Sarah and Will love suburbia - especially James and Katie's backyard. They even picked flowers for their Mommies. Love it.

Will lost his pants.

And of course new toys are so fun to play with.

Thanks for having us come play. We had a great time.

Flashback

While looking for Sarah's 15-month pics to compare with William at 15 months, I found this little gem. I couldn't resist sharing. Enjoy!

Happy 35th Birthday Roger!

After driving All.Day.Long on Roger's birthday we had a party to celebrate. But since we arrived earlier than expected, cake followed the next day. Cyndi made Roger a cake masterpiece. It's chocolate ganache. Um can we say HEAVENLY.

Needless to say, Sarah LOVED it.

And so did William.

The rest of us did too, but the camera woman was eating her cake and didn't get any more pics. Thanks to Cyndi and Renato for making Roger's birthday super fun and super yummy!

Spontaneous

We decided to make a last-minute trip to Las Vegas and St. George. I must be getting old because spontaneity like this takes quite a bit out of me. I'm still recovering from it! It took 10 hours Saturday (we left at 2:30 pm) to get to Las Vegas. I wasn't feeling well when we left and I think the trip intensified it. But it was nice to get pampered while I was with family.

The main reason for the trip was to say goodbye to our nephew Spencer. He had his farewell on Sunday morning in Las Vegas. He is going to Mexico on a mission for our church. I wasn't feeling well so that's my excuse for not getting out the camera during the lunch festivities. These "old" pics will have to do.

Spencer the Marine with his girlfriend.

Spencer with his dad Randy. Randy served his mission in Switzerland. Hence the costumes.

Spencer with his mom Nancy (Rog's sister).

After the farewell festivities, we headed to St. George to see Grandma and Boppa. While we were there, we decided to throw a February birthday party. Roger (3rd), Tony (6th), Emily & Jeff (12), Sarah (13) and Katie (22). I (with a lot of help) made Pasta Milano for the family. My sister Kymn made this awesome chocolate cake. Notice how cool the candles are - the flames are different colors.

Sarah LOVED singing happy birthday to herself...

Of course there was dressup. Sarah LOVED Katie's house. (Aunt Katie has a toy room that is just amazing.

William was there too. Isn't this a great face?

I got some more Abby time. I could just eat her up!

Ryan played hide and seek in the dryer.

And lots of cousin time. Sarah and William couldn't get enough of these guys.

We were planning to head back to SF on Tuesday morning, but I just couldn't do it. We stayed an extra day to recover from our crazy late-nights and traveling. We ended up leaving St. George at 7 am Mountain time and arriving home in San Francisco just before 6 pm Pacific time. That's 12 hours folks. Well worth it :)
