Sequoia National Park

We headed out early to spend the day at Sequoia National Park. We decided to hit a couple parks on the way to Utah to get the most out of our National Parks Pass we got last year at Yellowstone. I wasn't completely prepared for what we encountered: SNOW!

Luckily, it wasn't too cold and there wasn't a breeze so our hoodies sufficed. And Will and Sarah LOVED playing in the snow!!

We walked carefully on the icy path to see the General Sherman Tree (BTW it's the Biggest tree in the world - not the tallest or the widest, just the biggest).

With my kids

Sarah sat on a park bench ...

The kids sat on a fence while we waited to take a family picture.

Sarah did fall down on the way back. Rog & I felt it was probably better to help her up instead of taking a picture of her fall ... We did get a picture on the other side of the fallen tree.

We headed through the park and got stopped for construction for a half-hour. No problem, we ate our sandwiches in the car and were ready for some more fun when we reached the Hospital Rock picnic area.

Playing near the waterfall. My kids LOVE to throw rocks!

Bye Bye Sequoia see you next time.

PS after Sequoia we headed to Ridgecrest, CA to visit Roger's cousin's family. We had a great time at Sizzlers for dinner. Sarah LOVED playing with Sadie and getting ice cream. We definitely need to take pictures of these kids playing sometime!
