Sewing round two

I got some helpful hints from Cyndi in regards to my nightgown making. She reminded me of the "turn the hem under twice" trick to get rid of the frays. While I would LOVE to have a serger, it did work wonders. And the real test ... Sarah LOVES her Tinkerbell dress. I think the short sleeves are adorable. Don't you?!

  1. Yay for Cyndi and the good hints! She must return your calls in a timely fashion. Here's another fabulous hint. Elastic thread in your bobbin. It will make your neck and sleeve casing a thing of the past. You wind elastic thread onto your bobbin with no tension. Sew whatever you want elastic ruffled with a long stitch (4.5 on my machine) and then steam the heck out of the back side with the elastic and it gathers up like magic. the elastic will gather more after washing too.
